Equine Awareness and Safety Seminar

PEARL and the Anderson County Sheriff's Department are sponsoring a 2 day seminar taught by Mr. Brian Dees. The seminar is specifically designed for law enforcement officers, animal control officers, and first responders.

On Saturday, June 21, Brian will discuss approaching and handling aggressive or frightened horses safely. He will also discuss basic nutrition and health care.

On Sunday, June 22, he will demonstrate how to catch, handle, and trailer the unwilling horse safely.

The seminar will be held at the T. Ed Garrison Arena in Pendleton, SC. There will be limited seating available for the public. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 per day.
